LOSP – A SAFE, TRUSTED & PROVEN TREATMENT PROCESS

Some siding & Trim suppliers are saying that the LOSP Treatment in Design Pine^® is dangerous. Emotive words like “off gassing” and being used to cause alarm that Design Pine^® emits dangerous gas, as a result of our treatment process.

The Q&A Trifold (click to download) Safe working and handling of LOSP treated Design Pine^®, has been prepared jointly by ITI and our chemical suppliers, Arch Wood Protection. Arch is a global, publicly listed company with decades of experience in wood products treatment.

This Q&A leaflet dispels the ridiculous notion that LOSP is unsafe and “off gasses”. We encourage you to read it for your own “peace of mind”.

ITI is committed to the Wood Products Industry and to the growth of the use of wood products around the world. We passionately believe in promoting the use of safe and effective wood product building materials.

We find the practice of denigrating other wood products as reprehensible. This irresponsible behavior and misinformation in the market is outside of our control. If you hear misleading assertions from other suppliers, we recommend that you insist they provide written evidence of their objections. In all likelihood the information will be shown to be inaccurate, misleading or irrelevant to Design Pine^®.
